My Story

Hi, I’m Avery a small-town Texas girl at heart with a deep love for storytelling, connection, and capturing moments that feel real and meaningful.

I’m a natural light self-taught photographer and seasoned educator with over sixteen years of experience working with students in grades six through twelve across a wide range of subjects, along with a strong foundation in special education. My background has shaped the way I work with people. I intuitively create a calm, supportive environment where you can fully relax, feel confident and be seen as your most authentic self. 

As someone who truly loves the outdoors, I've spent years exploring and curating some of the most beautiful and unique locations this area has to offer. From open fields and quiet nature trails to golden-hour hidden gems, I guide each client to the perfect setting that aligns with their vision and energy. 

In 2024 my photography and story were featured in several local publications, including Canvas Rebel, Bold Journey, and Shoutout HTX  and most recently in 2025 Voyage Houston. These features were a meaningful recognition of the heart I pour into both my photography and my creative journey. 

When I’m not behind the camera or in the classroom, you’ll find me spending time with my daughter, enjoying the outdoors with our two sweet pups. 

Senior sessions are at the heart of my work with a limited number of family, maternity, and milestone sessions are available by inquiry. Photo booth rentals are coming soon.
